ATI Radeon 7200 PCI Card - Driver Problems

Well, i'm trying to used the Omega Drivers, to see if it helps at all with performance since the 7200 isnt so great lol..Anyways, i uninstalled all the ATI Drivers, downloaded and installed latest omega drivers, and restarted comp. It started, but it acted like i didnt have any drivers installed at all, and the "New Hardware Found" think popped up for the video card. I tried to re-install them, and when i rebooted after it loaded windows when it SHOULD go to the Login Screen for Windows XP, it just went to a black screen. Had to reboot with F8 and do "Last known good configuration" to get it to work, and it acted the same. Also when i tried to start CS:S (To do stress test) it crashed the PC (Didn't happen 20 minutes earlier, with the official drivers) and rebooted to black screen again. Please help :O

-PC-

CPU - AMD Sempron 2400+
RAM - 1gb DDR RAM
Video Card - PCI ATI Radeon 7200 (32mb RAM)
Motherboard - Something like A7V8-X, unsure though.

The reason im trying to get some more performance out of this card is to play The Sims 2 (I know a 7200 will barely handle it, but its the minimum requirements, and it starts up, etc it just lags insanley when moving the camera where it shows all the houses, and families etc..)

Hello Aljaud.
You should not install the latest 7 Omegas. You know, Omega are based on the official Catalyst. The latest Catalyst that really supports Radeon 7200 is 6.1, maybe 6.2 too.
So, try Omega 6.1, or even 5.9... or the official Catalysts of the same number.
First uninstall previous drivers of course.
