Do we need to leave cli.exe in startup?
Everytime my computer boots, the ATI tray icon comes up. Then I close it.
So I just wanted to make sure that I can take out "C:\program files\ATI Tech\ATI.ACE\cli.exe" runtime -Delay out of my startup. I know you're not suppose to close the cli.exe from task manager, that's why I wasn't sure if I could take it out of startup. Thanks in advance for the help.

also i think if you're not using any crossfire/extra monitors/etc...... if you've set your fav 3d settings already, no need for it to startup after

Actually, i used to have the cli.exe disabled all the time. But then i started to use AA/AF settings forced through the CCC for Oblivion. I noticed that no AA/AF was applied if the CCC (CLi.exe) wasnt executed before running the game.
To disably the tray icon, there is an option for it in the CCC - disable it from there. If you want to disable the whole CLi.exe from starting with the computer, then you might have to start it just before playing a game where you´ve forced AA/AF settings. |
