Msix tried em on an IGP340M, and Talicni_Tom is talking about an IGP320M... I really don't know the difference and if that difference matters at all as far as the modded drivers... however, I would guess that they would work fine.

Me stupid

Great job paje!
Your modifications made the drivers work on my laptop.

I'm still wondering what's wrong with my modded version of this set: as schwarz said it is a very simple process. Still this time I can't get it right.
I even compared what I did to what paje did, and I can't spot any difference... Weird

Anyway, we have someone to do the dirty work now!

Again a big thanks goes to schwarz as well: you've been a great teacher (and I haven't been a good pupil )

Thanks for the drivers patje.

IGP340M=Intel
IGP 340M" = ati2mtag_RS200M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4337&SUBSYS_00560E11
IGP320M=Athlon
ATI Radeon IGP 320M" = ati2mtag_U1, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4336&SUBSYS_0024103C

Other then that they should be the same. I've got the IGP320 in my Compaq. I was foolin around with the CAT 3.1 drivers. I got the DirectX to work fine, but OpenGL was crashing on me. I'll give your drivers a try patje, Thanks again.

Default Post ATI Smart

For some reason Ati Smart service isn't installed and so I have no 3D Acceleration. (on a Radeon Mobility 7500)
[Edit] Now it works! Damn Ati uninstaller. I úninstalled and reinstalled everything again and now it works flawlessly! THX!

These drivers are working great for me. Got me up to #2 overall for my video chip on both 3Dmark 2001 SE and 3Dmark03.
3Dmark03 sucks by the way. Amazing graphics but extremely slow.

Anyone having any problems with OpenGL? The drivers work great in DirectX, but OpenGL is a slideshow with Half-life and Jedi Knight 2. The originial drivers for my Compaq work fine for these games. This may be a problem with the IGP320. I've tried swaping out to the older OpenGL driver but same problem.

Re: Modded drivers for Mobility and IGP are HERE

Thanks for your work! I have a Fire GL X1 128 (the real one! not a 9700->X1 mod) and can't get these to install. Any ideas?

Fast writes ?

Can someone explain what the fast writes feature does. With some drivers its working but with this driver it dosent. When i reboot it always set the fast writes to off. I have the Ati Mobility 7500 adapter. TIA.

After some playing around, I did finally figure out how to get DX9 working on a FireGL card.

I understand from Omega that it's impossible to get Cat drivers to work on a GL card (sigh).

1) Install Firel GL drivers: 1028 (from ATI website).

2) Replace "ati3duag.dll" in SYSTEM32 with the one from Catalyst 3.0a (from ATI website). DO NOT use Cat 3.1 version - ATI 'fixed' it to not run on a Fire GL card - causes blue screen at boot.

3) Optional: can install Control Panel from either Cat 3.0 or 3.1.

Ran 3DMark2003 - all options work! Got a 4983. Not bad for a card optimized for GL instead of of DX/gaming!

I don't know what the downside is yet. I'm sure ATI had a good reason for keeping a DX8 version of the file released with their latest GL drivers.

Good luck!

Wink

To get the Comaq Presario 2100 with an IGP 340, make the following changes.

INSTALL.INI
Add 0x4337:0x0850103C,0x4337:0x002A103C to the end of the long lines under the Win2K and WinXP sections

C2_07447.inf & CX_07447.inf
All the two lines below to the [ATI.Mfg] section
"IGP 340M" = ati2mtag_RS200M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4337&SUBSYS_002A103C
"IGP 345M" = ati2mtag_RS200M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4337&SUBSYS_0850103C

HTH

It's UberLord

I didn't actually know Omegadrive had migrated the Mobility stuff into his drivers. Been working for week in the states (I arrived back in the UK 07:20 this morning ) and bought a laptop on the last day. Spotted your thread though
