Input not supported?

So, I'm asking for some help from you folks. I'm sure this has been asked many times, but I cannot find the right thread to answer my question.

When playing older games or when Windows XP is starting, I get the floating box "Input not supported." I assume this is due to the res and refresh that my X800 doesn't like. I'm running the Omegadriver ATI set, can someone tell me how to fix this so I can enjoy my older version of Wing Commander III?

I can play those games, your monitor probably cant support such a low resolution.

Sorry, let me rephrase the question.

Is there a way to force my monitor to accept whatever res and refresh the games are using without the the floating "Input Not Supported?"

I have the wing commander anthology pack where they made some changes like getting them to run in windows and stuff. Theres a config util to set the game resolution and sound.
