How's this for a guess: the week of the 14th. Why? Given the fact that Cat 5.5s were released on the 17th of May last year that it's a safe bet we'll see the Cat 6.5s around the same time. My bet is Monday, May 15th.

It'll be here when it's here.
No need to rush a release, correct?

I am going to predict that the Cat 6.5 will be released sometime during the month of May. Also, they will contain several bug fixes, and somewhere between a few to zero minor performance enhancements for X1000 cards. Also, people will whine about them and bash ATI for various reasons related and unrelated to the new driver set. Including (but not limited to) the speed of CCC, the shadows in various games, and the fact that their Radeon 7000 got no performance enhancements in FEAR. The prophet Gnerma has spoken.

Well all kidding aside it would be nice if we had a bug free SiN Emergence experience with 6.5. Assuming they'll be out by the 10th that is.

So what ??
CCC still needs more work and yes shadows in various games with ATi cards are visually wrong
These problems do exist in the ATI cards there is no lying on that
and ppl complain expecting for these to get better\fixed
they purchased a product and they expect their product to play with as less problems as possible and as it is expected to play without any form of graphic corruption
they have the right to complain it is their money
what is your problem with that ??

Ok you are overreacting
but that's the only thing that you are right in your post
Of course that probably goes for some of the X800-9800 users
and not for Radeon 7000 as i do not thing anyone in here is still using an old card like that anymore

I wish the people posting about shadows would get a clue and or do some research, yes theres an display driver issue with Oblivion having flickering grass shadows, blocky shadows in NFS:MW LOTR BFME2, BF2 and any other games of a similar nature (quite a lot of EA games) are NOT driver issues, its down to how the shadows are generated and the fact that ATI cards dont have a shadow buffer feature that rounds out the shadows (although there is a way to do nice shadows without one but the developers dont seem to want to do it)
