Radeon Omega Drivers 3.8.231 (Cat 6.3)
It took a while to release the new version of the Omega Drivers cause I was having some issues after upgrading to the 6.3 drivers, namely, BSOD's, so I had to investigate, and after 2 weeks of testing I found out it was my OC, too aggressive, strange that it didn't happened with previous drivers, but oh well, found out the hard way. Also, been playing too much WoW and Oblivion, that leaves me too little spare time, sorry for the delay, but those playing any of these games will understand.
If you take a look at the readme you will notice that I added a new wide-screen resolution, 1024x640, Why so low?, well, thank Oblivion for that, the game requires so much muscle that I created that resolution to get playable frame rates with everything maxed out.
What's New in Omega Drivers?
v3.8.231
[*] Based on the Catalyst 6.3 Official drivers.
[+] Added a new wide-screen resolution, 1024x640.
Download links here.
Enjoy!

Hello!
I use the Radeon All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro.
I tried out the Omega drivers because "Crashday" doesn't work properly with the standard ATI ones.
So now Crashday works when I use the Soft-mod to 9800 Pro option.
I have a second graphics card in my system: a Radeon 9200 PCI.
Now, when using the omega drivers, I cannot activate my PCI-card. I get a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager. As soon as I revert to the original drivers, it works again - but then I cannot play Crashday.
Help!
Thanks!

I tried dl'ing the driver but it always stops downloading during the beginning when it's around 7-17% done. Is anyone else having trouble dl'ing the driver? I have Mozilla Firefox web browser if that helps.

Hey, this is my first post and i have a question.
I downloaded these drivers because Oblivion runs pretty shitty on my machine: a Sager 9880, 64 bit p-4 3.2ghz processor with 2 gigs of ram and an ati x800 card. I had thought that this machine was enough to run this game but aparently i was semi-wrong.
When i use the resolution of 1024x680 for whatever reason it doesn't stretch to fit my monitor, it becomes REALLY BIG and most of the screen is clipped. When i run it in windowed mode i get about 35 fps which is very playable, but i want that on full screen.
any tips as to what i may be doing wrong?

just noticed that this still contains Control Panel version 5173, when the latest is 5183 from the 6.3 CP pack, so Omega, anychance of an upgrade next version (Omega 6.4??)
but apart from that, thanks, works great on server 2003 (had to enable dx acceleration AGAIN tho)

i belive this information is for desktops. laptops work alot differntly. try differnt resolutions and see about the lowest ones that work for your spacific laptop.

Help!
Has anyone else with an ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB noticed a considerable drop in drop-down menu appearance.
I mean to say that my screen is "sluggish", somewhat like right after un-installing a driver and restarting the PC. It seems to take forever for right-click-menus to appear, and webpage scrolling is "choppy".
Anyone else having this since installing Omega's drivers based on 6.3?

you probably dont have a driver installed... thats why your having problems. install your agp drivers then the video drivers.
or, well i think this info is in the readme too if im not mistaken. but every computer does this when the grfx drivers are not installed (or not installed correctly).

I don't know why but I can't install that CP on my PC, thus, can't extract the CP files and add them to my set, as soon as I make it work I will add to the next set, but I don't think it will make much of a difference.

Just out of curiosity, what settings do you use?
