Wrong version of low level driver found
When trying to run ATI Tray Tools I get the error message "Wrong version of low level driver found! Please uninstall current version, restart computer and install again". This is strange as I was running the Omega drivers before this and no issues at all. I have ran the last three versions of Omega with no problems. I did make sure CCC was unistalled and even used Driver Cleaner to make sure all traces of it or ATT was gone and then installed again. Since that did not work I once again uninstalled Omega and make sure everything was removed and yet again after a "really" clean install I still get the same error message.
Any suggestions?

I was using your previous driver set all week long with Oblivion and couldn't complain at all. The new set seems to be working just as well. I can't say that I'm conscious of any better performance.
However, since I've been outputting to video capture on my other computer's AIW card, I keeping the game at 1024 x 768. No AA but everything else on High with BLOOM On.
Many of my screenshots will show the FPS up in the righthand corner as I have it set to show it via ATT. I haven't noticed anything dropping to an unplayable rate at all. But, it does average fluctuating from maybe 25 - 70 FPS as it is now.
You should pay a little visit to our game forums. Oblivion has gathered quite a nice reaction among out members.

dh drivercleaner will not remove reminents of att.you will need to remove them manually from the registry.i use regseeker 1.45 and delete all att entries.its most likely because omegadrive used the 1.0.5.820 in the last set and switched to 1.0.5.824 on this set.also search for all reference to the old set of omegas as some files are not removed with dh dl pro.
EDIT: i have got this set installed and all went smooth.thx omegadrive. i think i am pretty much done with the driver game for my current setup.i have not seen any performance increase at all in along time on either this card or my old x800pro.all bench scores and iq are not any different at all since like 5.6 or somewhere in there.so unless there are specific game fixes then this will be my last driver change.man what am i going to do now.i might have to go rob a bank so i can upgrade.

Hey Omega! Thanks for the drivers once again. I thought I had seen a post somewhere that you would be going to the CCC instead of the CP, but I could be wrong? I'm actually kinda glad you haven't moved over to that yet as I still prefer the CP. Eventhough I have a super fast machine the CCC still takes ages to load. For modding changes I just do a majority of the changes with the ATI Tray Tool anyways, but still the CP takes less space and doesn't hog up my machine. Will you be sticking with the CP for future releases? I hope you do. Thanks again!

Yo Lemonzest!
Did you just extract the new CP-files and replace only the older ones in the extracted Omega driver?!
Cause if you did just that, I can do that also, at least if Omega thinks we're doing it the right way!
Thanx!

yup, that's exactly how I'm doing it had to install the cp first to get the files, then i overwrote the older files in the Omega Driver, then removed everything with driver cleaner (as the cp was a little borked by now dunno why) then just reinstalled the drivers, now it reports as 5183

fine driver, BUT:
2 (similar) bugs:
1. counter-strike 1.6: switching from game to desktop and back, graphics is messed up (2/3 of screen black the bottom's 1/3 is the top of the actual game display).
2. counter-strike:source: similar behaviour reported by another user.

I caught a clue in your reply and followed. I did a direct download and install of of ATI Tray Tools 1.0.5.824 and now everything is running as it should be, http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=733 I will also be looking as some of the plugins for this and see what other toys I can get that I need.
Did grab the regseeker though as that tool could come in handy, hate to think so but know at some point some nasty program will not fully remove itself and I will end up using it. Thanks.

First, Welcome to the Forums!
Everything you need is in already in that driver file ...
Just click on a download link from the Omega-Radeondrivers main page, download the exe and install it!
But be sure to completely uninstall the previous driver set and to remove its remains with Driver Cleaner Pro.

Blocky shadow issue (partly) fixed?
OMG!
I just installed the new driver set Omega 6.3 (thanx for them, btw ... ) and checked out my fav-game Battlefield 2 to see if there are any performance improvements - like I always do after installing brand-new Omega drivers.
What have I seen?
I've seen shadows of (for me) unbelievable shadow quality thrown from vehicles and soldiers ...
Watch the shadow on the ground and on the tank itself ...
In front of the left APC, the shadow seems to be pixelized again. However, the tank in the front is throwing well-rendered shadow effects.
Here, again: on ground and at the APC ... really astonishing!
See the shadow from this foodman on the ground ...
If you throw a closer glance, you'll notice the small blocky shadows ... but still better quality than before (well, seems at least to me).
But look here! Shadow quality (from a Humvee) I've never seen before!
Again, on top ...
What's happened here? Is it the new game-patch (V1.22) released some days ago? Is it just my euphoria driving me crazy on this? Or do you have any other explanaition to this?
To any Battlefield 2-players with Radeon cards, could you confirm any improvements on the shadows of the game with Omega 6.3?
Please, it could also be the case that I'm totally wrong ... however, this problem has to be discussed. We simply cannot watch the lousy game and keep waiting for EA to release a fix or ATI working on that issue for the next years ...

Hello, I'm having troubles with the Omega Drivers..I recently switched from the latest ATI.
Well, I went into safe mode and uninstalled the old drivers and control panel stuff with Driver Cleaner Pro...THEN...I installed the new omega drivers. The install seemed to work..I restarted into normal mode and then went to the tray tool program. The program then told me it didn't detect any omega drivers...well I thought that was funny...but I went to the 'reinstall omega drivers' link and went through that process. Restarted...then I went to the Tray tool program and I got the blue screen of death , and it was complaining about faulty memory/bad video drivers. I was wondering if anyone had this same issue/knows how to fix my problem.
thanks in advance for any help

did you have the standalone version of att or any other gpu ocing or monitoring utility installed with the official cats?
it sounds like some leftover reg entries are conflicting.when you change drivers, especially from one modded set or official to modded set then you have to go that extra mile in the cleanup.after using all known driver cleanup tools like dh dc pro or ati clean tool there are still entries in the reg of reference to the old set of drivers.i use regseeker 1.45 and search for the maker of the drivers, att, ray adams, radeon, ati, omega, and the atiptaxx.exe,or ngo, extreme,or whatever other modded set you are running.depending on the set you will always get different reg entries left behind.also make sure all related folders are deleted from your install drive.

Hey...I actually just uninstalled everything in safe mode and then reinstalled in normal..I think it had something to do with me installing the drivers in safe mode..I don't know what...but that's the only variable I'm seeing unless it was an extra registry key that the Omega uninstaller picked up..thanks anyways!

yes...I'm double posting...but not to get the topic looked at or anything..I just have a question or two. These are complete never-used-omega-anything-before questions...but hey..why not ?
1) How can I use the overclock feature...I see the overclock PWR thingy in the Hardware section...if I check that...will it just work ? Or am I looking at the wrong thing ?
2) I'd like to modify my BIOS with the settings on your site, Omega...but I can't seem to get any program that does such a thing...well...not in as much depth as what you list.

Does anyone know if this version has a fix for the WSOD found by many, many HP Notebook users?
I have been anxiously awaiting the day that these drivers may support the HP ZD Notebooks. As of past time people including my self have delt with the WSOD issue when trying to run different 3D applications/games. Also when changing resolution settings or running the DX diagnostics. Some have even had the problem when booting or in other instances.
These drivers supporting these notebooks would mean a lot to many people for the fact that we only have full support by HP drivers and they are very crappy (besides the fact that they take an eon to release a driver set).
Any help is much appreciated.
