Couple of issues with Drivers and X1900XTX

I have a Saphire and I am having a couple of issues.

1. I am using a sunmicro 20" CRT and when windows boots up with the drivers installed the monitor reports "INVALID SYNC" To get round it I have to shut it off till windows has loaded.

2. Flashing textures on COD2,CSs and a microsoft game I am currently Beta testing (NDA means I can't list the name but its the sequal to Rise of Nations).

When I say flashing texture I mean parts of the detail on buildings flash even when I don't move. Or shadows will flicker. Window frames will disapear and reapear without moving.

I've never experienced issue #1 myself. Is it a DDC problem with your monitor? Are you using default monitor drivers, or the Sunmicro inf? Does your monitor have an analogue or digital input? If you're using pure digital maybe that's causing the issue? Or maybe your anolgue cobnverter isn't working good? Maybe try the other port on the video card with the other converter?

Sorry if this is obvious, but have you tried disabling CAT AI? Are you using in-game FSAA or CCC forced FSAA? I'm really looking forward to Rise of Lege...errr the unamed title. Looks/sounds fantastic so I hope this isn't a driver issue.
