.Net hangs
Hi all
Been getting this problem off and on with .Net and the CCC. My computer intermittantly hangs on shut down with .Net errors in Event viewer and a quick error message saying cli.exe application has hung. I have gotten this problem on two different systems and differing versions of the CCC, its always fixed by eather uninstalling .Net or the CCC. Just so you dont get the wrong idea I have used the CCC since day one.
Will getting rid of .Net 1.1 and installing .Net 2.0 fix this, This bug is very irritating.

New computer with a fresh install. This also happens on my wife's rig if i install the CCC.
I have read a dozen reports of this and all say its a .net issue triggered by any .net application. I dont see a fix in any of those posts other that get rid of .net. I was hopeing somebody else had a cure. I dont want to use a second party application to control my ATI purchase. and the CP is useless imho.

If by this you're referring to such drivers and apps as Omegadrivers and his use of ATI Tray Tool, rest assured that there are several of us that have been using Omega's work for years. He is an ATi beta tester and also has the blessing of ATi in providing his version of drivers for ATi products.
I, too, like to use the official drivers to see what ATi has developed and how well they compare to Omega's work. So far, though, there are features in the ATT that aren't available in CCC that I find very helpful.
I think it would be a good idea to at least give these a try and see for yourself what the excitement is all about.

I appreciate your input
I was just venting fustration with .net and was not ment as a insult. I think by the sheer volumn of followers of Omega and Ray show they must be doing something right. But just wished after a year of this issue now that ATI would have found a work around for this. I want ATI to step up and fix this, after all it was their decision to use .Net for this.
And for those that say "It's your system dude". The Broadcast event error with .Net and momentary hangs on shut down are well documented with any .Net programs.

Well I uninstalled the CCC and went with ATT and what a difference, Desktop is nice and snappy now and shut down problems are gone.
Hopefully the 6.3's will show an improvement but with the lack of reviews/compairsons lately of ATI drivers except by Tweaktown, and this problem being mostly a .Net issue, I somehow doubt it.

I didn't intend any offense and hope it wasn't received in that way. I was trying to encourage you to give the others a try at the least.
I'd be happy to hear what you think after using these for a few days. Be sure to try a few 3D games to give them a real good workout!

No offense taken
Used them in BF2 and WoW today without issue, Still need more testing but working great so far and seem a bit smoother.
Thanks for all the help.
