New ATI Tray Tools?
Hey. I was just wondering when the newer ATI Tray Tools is due. The one that came with the omega drivers doesn't work for the x1900xtx. well, it works, but you have to disable overclocking to get it to work. Unfortuantely, that's what i would like to overclock with, so I was just wondering when the newer one would come out that SUPPORTS THE X1900XTX.
Also, when it does come out. Since I'm using the omega drivers and ATI Tray tools is, in a way, "built in" to the actual driver. I see that you can uninstall ATI Tray Tools in the
C:\Program Files\Radeon Omega Drivers\v3.8.221\ATI Tray Tools
directory. Do I just do that, and then tell the newer ones to install in the same place or will the omegadrivers release a newer driver with the newer version of tray tools?

Your guess is as good as mine. We can't seem to get a straight answer one way or another.

I hope support for R5xx will be done in near future. Everyting is works now, except main thing - actual overclocking Monitoring is done including voltage monitoring. Due to lack of documentation (and without hardware on my hands) it is very hard to finish it.

Just so you'll know: I still can't install and use ATT with the official CAT 6.3s. Same old: Wrong version...low level driver installed.

But first, Why does it work just fine with Omega's drivers but not with the official drivers? If we can answer that, maybe we'll have a solution.

That seems pretty drastic re-format just to in stall Omega drivers. I would just stick to the ATI drivers.

He advised to "reinstall" not format. I agree it is not worth a reinstall to fix a problem with 3rd party software when you don't need it in the first place.

Well, in this case, it's not necessarily a 'needed' app, but, I do like a lot of what I can do with ATT. It works splendid with Omega's drivers. I like seeing the FPS up in the righthand corner and the ability to monitor my temps down in the taskbar. Those are just a couple of things. I also use the Screenshot feature and it works great!
It's weird that I can't get it to work with the official CAT drivers but it works fine with Omega's. ???

I use ATT but is does have problems. If I had to reinstall Windows just to fix problems with it though I wouldn't use it.
