a nice feature that i'd love to be added to omega

Hi everybody here, this is my first post here

Thanks a lot for the great drivers you're providing, i love them!!!

I'm a laptop user and there one feature i would love you to add to the omega drivers:

as I have a widescreen display, it would be nice to have a streched 4/3 mode, i explain it: for example, on my 1280x768 display i'd like to see my 640x480 games streched to 1024x768 with black border on the left and on the right. I can have it streched to 1280x768 but the aspect ratio is bad. This option exist on nvidia drivers but not on ati

Please tell me that this is an easy feature to add and that you'll add it in a future release!!

thanks a lot!

Agreed. I've been asking for a "scale display preserving aspect ratio" option from ATI for about two years, now. It's the only major feature I really miss from my old Ti4600 card...

PS: Welcome to DriverHeaven, by the way. :-) [editted]

Continue on the other topic please

That (interesting) question would deserve a clearer title IMO, as « Please Omega keep 4/3 games undistorted on 16/10 LCD (as nVidia does) ».

But that has been (nearly) done already, so the best is IMO to continue that discussion on that other topic, Keeping 4:3 aspect ratio in fullscreen on a 16:10 tft.
