- converting video drivers to be compatible with windows xp media center edition -

similar (more specific) post HERE. anywas, here is my question:

i am a huge fan of reformatting computers, especially when its bought brand new from any company (damn you manufacturer installed third party software ... damn you). of course the newest and greatest os (windows-wise) as of right now is microsoft windows xp media center edition (from now on i will refer it as mce). so that is what i install on peoples computer whenever i reformat (doesnt work every time, so i then result to installing windows xp professional corporate (from now on i will refer it as corporate)). anyways, one of the issues i have run into half of the times installing mce is the video drivers working properly with mce. yeah i can install the drivers for the card to work, but (now pay extra attention) when i load up media center (the program), it says the drivers are incompatible. i have been successful (half the time) in installing drivers for the video card and they work, but the other half i have to reformat again and install corporate.

the actual question: is there is a way of converting video drivers to become compatible with mce. i could understand if the video card were built in the motherboard and only had 8mb of memory.

most computers have onboard video now adays....and if that computer didnt come with xp media center and no media center pcs are made with that mobo, they dont want anyone useing media center on it....it varies on the computer i guess...ive had trouble getting drivers for a compaq presario i reformatted and put xp pro on it (was home)...the drivers where only updates.....find out what the video is and look on their website for MCE drivers....ati has em..and i disagree media center isnt the newest and greatist os.....windows x64 edition is mce is the greatest 32 bit lol

oh trust me, i have looked. and yes tehcnially i did find the proper windows xp media center edition drivers for the card, but they still did not work. i have to assume toshiba (or at least with the help of ati) modified the official drivers from ati to work with this laptop.

i have access to the (i have to assume) toshiba modified drivers. if there was only a way to modify drivers to work properly with windows xp media center edition.
