Worst viral infection ever? [pic]
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post, but check this out!
This guy has had his PC for 5 years. Never had a virus scan run on it. When I first booted it up it absolutely nothing would work, the hdd just kept fragging itself. I had to install AV software in safe mode. Before this my worst case was about 2-300 instances of virus'. My question is, what's the worst infection you've ever come across in terms of numbers?

at that point, i wouldn't even bother cleaning out all them viruses. Reinstalling windows would be the best option

That is true. But 5 years without a virus scanner generates some curiosity as to how badly the PC is infected

In the 11 years on the internet as we know it I think I may have only had 15 total viruses. 90% of those were caught by my virus scanner before they infected the computer on the real time mode. I wish I could say the same about spyware . My question is were either of you using an active virus scanner/spyware scanners and if not with all of the viriuses in the wild why not? I usually use two, one actually installed on the computer and a 2nd internet based scanner just to be sure.

can't say about virus's but after cleaning out my sisters pc with adaware it came up with at least 1500 items...that were a hell of a job to remove all of that trash.
But for myself the most i have had is 2...but i do regularly check.
