IE 7.0 identified as Netscape?!

Seeing IE 7.0 is made available for WindowsXP i thought it would be in this section of the forum, if not, then please remove it to the right place mods.

Now on too what i'm trying to decipher. I recently installed IE 7.0 and must say that i'm really impressed with it sofar, no problems what so ever. Except for now, it's not an error as something that baffles me to be honest.

I went to the McAfee update site to update my virusscanner, when it came to the site you see in the picture.
The picture speaks more clearer words then i can typ, so if anyone know how IE 7.0 is identified as Netscape Btw if i download the plugin it doesn't work seeing i don't have Netscape installed.
Maybe someone here knows how to resolve this, then please let me know.

i think, the IE did not identify itself as the Netscape, but the site code/script has not been updated for supporting the version of IE. so it may not recognize the IE version 7.0 and/or wrongly report it as other web browser.

taken from one of the McAfee latest product user guide (MAS_UserGuide_2006.pdf)

McAfee uses ActiveX controls in its applications, and you must download the specific ActiveX components required for each application. Once these components are loaded, you do not need to download them again unless upgrades or updates become available. Unfortunately, Netscape and some CompuServe versions are not
ActiveX-compliant browsers. To use McAfee applications with Netscape or CompuServe browsers, you must go to the McAfee Web site to automatically
download the McAfee Activator Plug-in and have Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later installed on your computer.
NOTE
Netscape 4.0 and later versions, as well as CompuServe 5.0 and later versions, are compatible with the McAfee Activator Plug-in.
if the ActiveX controls are IE 7.0 compatible, then reinstall the McAfee might help.
try running the update again after reinstalling the McAfee to see if the ActiveX will load...
also, check the list of the ActiveX controls add-ons which can be loaded and have been used by the IE.
