XP power schemes corrupted or missing or something... ??
Um, so i noticed earlyer today that my screen was not turning off after 20 min idle-time. So I went to check the Power Schemes settings, and here's what I got:
Now what the **** is this! What has XP done now? I haven't changed theses settings since I installed windows. (BTW: the brushed style is from Style XP and newiTuned theme... maybe the cause?). I googled this problem, but all I found was a registry edit to retrieve missing Power Schemes. Added it to the registry, but it didn't really help. Same problem (didn't boot though).
So if anyone has any good ideas other than the standard answer: "format c:" I would really be thankfull.

D/L this reg file, then import it into your registry one more time. then reboot your PC and then check the power option properties again.

Hello, I found this site by accident, looking for a cure for my power option in xp that disappeared. I found it here, after looking for two hours.
Special thanks to PangingJr for the registry fix.

donload the reg file from the link provided by PangingJr and just double click it, XP will ask if you want to import this registry value to the registry, click Yes, and you are ready to go...
