XP MCE requirements?
okay so I'd like sortof a media pc that will run all my divx stuff that i download from the internet (in a legitimate fashion of course)
I got a DVD player and a VCR...annnddd I'd like to keep em that way but I have this laptop that I dont really want\need but I cant get rid of it because it was a gift from the neighbors. Its 650mhz(though I think its on speedstep and clocks up to 800mhz) pentium 3 with 512mb of ram DVD drive ect ect...
well anyway I've had it hooked to the TV before but its SO INCONVENIENT navigating through XP with a mouse and keyboard. I wanna have a pretty GUI to go through and MCE seems great. Unfortunately it has very high system requirements. Why is that? I use to run some of these vids on a 400mhz K6-2 and they were just fine. So why do i need 2.8ghz for MCE?
Anyway basically what I wanna know is if its even work buying MCE for the laptop or not.
