x64 is my main OS since it came out, I now run a x64/Vista install, with no XP 32 at all.
The only game I've had an issue with is SplinterCell CT.
I play BF2, GTA:SA and most other games on my machine without a problem. In terms of performance you probably won't notice the difference. But if you've got the hardware why not use it.
The more demand there is for x64 compatibility the quicker it will come.
Nearly all printer drivers are working now. ATI have full 64 support, with a x64 version of each catalyst being released same day as the normal sets.
Daemon Tools is another program that won't run. But with Apps like WinImage you don't need it anyway.
You've got nothing to loose.

XP 64Bit has been my main OS for roughly a week not.... and i must say, the initial installation and so far use of it has been pretty solid and fast in comparison to an already fast windows XP 32bit i was previously running..
I WAS Going to install 32bit on a seperate partition, but i don't actually have an real reason. So far every benchmark, game i've thrown up has worked with absalutely no issues to mention.

tv tuners seem to be dragging far behind for the x64 version. Even though ATI had a press release earlier this week saying they are leading the way in support for this OS

ATI doesnt support the AIW series all that well with 32 bit sytems as evidenced in our own DH AIW forum....
But I really enjoy my computer with the OEM XP Pro x64. I am using a ULI chipset, 939 3200, X800 Pro (AGP), 2 x 512 PC3200. I do little outside the office suite except for MS flight Simulator 2004. It is hard to put it in to tangibles, but to me the x64 system seems butter smooth as opposed to Tabletop smooth, in other words it seems to be a little faster and a little more....compliant? Anyway I like it. I will get Vista after the initial rush.

I did some digging and found out that the reason Windows XP 64 bit is so "smooth" as you say. It's based off the 64 bit version of Server 2003. I've even had a few programs report my OS as Windows Server Edition 2003.
My only hang up is the lack of driver support for my HP all-in-one.
