I want to ask that which is the best free antivirus software which uses less system resources..

System Specs

the free ones don't do as good a job (like NAV is intreched in you OS) plus they get more
false positives, If you want to go with the low resorce AV then try kapersky but it not a free
program you can complely close even it with but two clicks...

I'm not so sure this is a true statement but I agree Kas is the best AV on the market bar none. Node 32 may be my second choice. NAV would be my last choice on the market.

AntiVir, AVG, Avast!...
you system and program installed will be different from the others,
i suggest you also check online reviews and google for more free version and D/L and check them out for yourself.
but if you don't want a real-time file system monitor but only a good virus scanner. you could make your own virus scanner using a self-extracting SFX_RAR format,
and for running the programs from a temp folder without having to actuallyl install it. you could use/choose the scan engine and virus update files form many virus protection products likes McAfee, Trend Micro Sysclean, Sophos, and etc .
