Cupillac is on a distinguished road

Minor, but strange problem

XP
SP2

Just finished playing a Republic Commando, just I unistalled it, restarted machine (had to make something to eat)
Hopped back on and I immediatley got a "Send Error Report" problem with my quicktime (it loads on startup)
Tried opening up Internet Explorer, same thing. Xfire same thing.
Windows Media Player worked fine.
Restarted.....same thing.
Tried System Restore and it had the same sort of error.
Defragmenter worked fine.

Rebooted with F8, then selected Start Windows with last know good configuration. Voila.
Working fine right now.

A minor problem but just wondering what caused this?
Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated.

Seems that when you uninstalled it took something along with it that was shared with the other programs you were having problems with. Something like a file that is not needed and you ckick OK to uninstall it and lo and behold it was an important file.
