refresh and stop are in the same button, just like opera 8.02. Its actually a nice feature, saves a bit of space. Not overly excited about this one, i like Opera.

i think IE7 will only serve to make more people more familiar with features already offered in better more customizable browsers. i'm not one of those MS hating open source cultists either. i'd say firefox is one of the few cases i can think of where open source works as advertised. i'll definitely be trying it out tho.

I saw one of the best browser ever like many years ago it was based on
IE had tabbed surfing download manager etc long before I'd seen anyone
else use it. When like 28.8K internet was like da bomb
So who barrowed from who would be a hard feat

IE7 screws MSN while using other programs (GAIM, Trillian, etc.), so I won't be getting it at least until that gets fixed.

Eh, Firefox still seems alow better than that thing. Why is there no stop button? What if I want to stop a website from downloading and not refresh it?

Not having looked at the screenshots, and only having read half the thread, I think that the button will stop the page if it's loading, and refresh the page if it's loaded or has been stopped already.

I thought firefox was worthy of effort, but I found it a little boring...but then...should a browser entertain and inform and be a tool...now that is asking too much isnt it..

I posted this in a different thread, but it seems to fit here better:
I dunno I had this on my PC for all of a few hours. I thought that it truely sucked. First off I had to uninstall/reinstall my firewall (zonealarm) after installing IE7 because it wouldnt start up. In IE7 itself certain pages (like this one) took forever to load. I was trying to make a simple post on the forum that would normally take maybe 5 mins. Well after messing around for over 10 mins I thought maybe my connect was messed up so I reconnected. It took me over 15 more minutes to make a post. Also yahoo mail wasnt too compatible w/ it. It worked, but it looked all funky and it told me i needed to upgrade my browser and such. Also unless you put your favorites in like a side pane I could not see them all. When you click on the favorites menu at the top it opens your favorites full screen. However mine would not all fit on one screen and I didnt see anyway to scroll down or over to see the rest. If you made a favorites toolbar icon it would open up in a side frame and they worked fine from there. I know its only a beta, and not really a public beta, but it sure has a long way to go in my opinion to be something I would use everyday. Another weird thing is the refresh/stop button was the same which I did not like at all. I was never sure which one it was going to do. Anyways thats a little off topic, but if anyone is considering trying to get your hands on it, I really dont think its worth it.

ok i tried it. it sucks. perhaps only because its beta or maybe just because the interface is jacked to fuck. for some reason the home button is on a different toolbar than the rest of the nav buttons and that toolbar keeps disappearing. It seems a little slower than IE6 but again this could be a problem with it being beta. I'll try again next time but it'd take more than tabs and a home button on the navbar to drag people away from firefox at this point.
it's nice to see they finally added support for png alpha channel tho .
