Windows XP-N version

Just caught an article on CNN about Windows XP N, it seems that this new version is not selling well or the EU is not buying, since it is all part of that Anti-trust suite I am sure it is unpopular as well, but what is the big deal? Does the N in the software stand for "nuetered"?

This Windows XP is just stripped down of Windows Media Player. When you want to play media stuff in this windows it gives you the option of downloading Windows Media PLayer or Winamp. It was just made this way to please the EU.

Not surprising since Microsoft never pulled the regular version of XP off the shelf. When faced with the decision of buying a labotimized version of XP vs the real deal, which would you buy?

(I already know a bunch of you would say neither, so you can stop right there )

Microsoft knows that as soon as the real XP sells out that there will be nothing left to buy but the XP-N (N as in neutered) version, so I don't really see them losing out in the long run.
