I just wonder how long it will take to ramp up the drivers. The OS is useless w/o the drivers.

Only problem with drivers for me has been logitech drivers and creative drivers for sb live! 24bit, but don't use it anymore so no problems other than creative mouse drivers anymore.

And remember, new daemon tools hasn't yet been released and it will have 64bit base as well. No virtual cd programs yet for xp64bit. Just some usermade modifications for some iso tools, didn't work for me.

So youre running 64 NOW?I have an HP laptop I wanna convert.I dont need any SPECIAL video drivers. This rig has the AMD 3400+ CPU in it but it also has an nVIDIA 64 GO! GFX set up....I guess I would have to check with HP and see if they have a driver ready for it.You cant use ANYTHING but an HP/nVIDIA GFX driver for this thing. It really chaps my ass too!

I've been around testing windows xp 64bit from early betas, I'm a betatester! That's the reason why I have used it. Works wonders, if you have one cpu eating thing doing it's evil work, another heavy prgram works much better than with 32bit os. It's nice.

Supposed to be a free download, Of course they charge you copying and shipping...
But I’m fully capable of burning properly it myself...

Where / how did you order?

(I'm antsy... I want this thing.... first way I can get it will...
but i have no interest in the available beta's when the final is ready)

WinXP has been RTM, meaning "released to manufacturer". You can't expect that as soon as the OS has been stamped "Final", that you'll be receiving your copy on CD do you? You can download it via MSDN if you're a member.
