Check the harddrive cablings and run some memory stability tester software, like the one on http://www.memtest.org/.

thanksa lot, i already installit and made a bootable cd with that program. i used it, and i didn't find any errors, just in the pass tab, it passed like 2 times.
the problem is that a long time a go, i dived my two hard drives. but then i tried to install windows xp professional. but when i installed the professional, it read only 50gb of my hard drive. i was triying to use many programas as active partition recovery and acronis to recover my pc but i got a blue screen with volume error. then i asked sony to send me the recovery dvd. i made a complete factory system recovery, it did, but when i restarted my pc it didn't boot up, just a black screen before the logon windows. so what i did was, installed again windows professional with the 50gb that it only reads. then with partition magic i recover the hard drives and separate them again. but 2 weeks later when i restarted my pc appeared a _ _ _ flashing, so i used system recovery, but this only recover ''c'' drive. and that's the only thing i do when the black screen with the line flashing appears after i restart my pc, and don't know what to do, bofere it never happened this. i don't know if i have to buy another hard drive, but before that i want to try a solution for this. thanks!

some Sony VAIO model (can't say all models) have a hidden partition for using in recovering the system, the partition contains a pre-installed of Windows and vaio softwares including a program that needed for creating your recovery medias and i think, some others important info for the system are also in that partition.
i'm able to see that partition on some of models with a tools called partition explorer from the Paragon software. i just want to see it and see how it works but never want to change any thing, not the HDD layouts.
install different OS, apply partition change software or reformat the HDD, these kind of operations may delete the recovery partition.
i Think, this might have something to do with that partition if your VAIO is one of the HDD recovery model.
talk to Sony supports and tell them what you did exactly, also tell them about this problem that you're having.

if you mean you don't want anything Vaio anymore, and want to wipe every bit of the factory install and then do the Windows setup yourself, and use your chosen softwares. then i'd say, you can do that. let's say i think i can do that. but i've not tried it yet, can't really tell you what kind of problems that you may/will have, nor how to fix it?/
first, i'd make sure that i have all the needed device drivers.
second, i'd find info on the net about things that i'm about to do,
then just do it. i mean try it, actually.
as for the name of the program that you'll use for wiping out your HDD, like i just told you i've not yet tried it, so hard to tell... maybe you don't need any special tool at all.
see this page, i don't think this vaio is same model as yours,
just get the good info off this page to start off...

Guess what man, I have a Sony Vaio 3.2gHz, 200GB HD, and 1024MB Ram, I can almost bet you we have the exact SAME PC! And I have had the exact same problem. MY HDD became so corrupt after so many failed boots that I had to use the Sony Recovery Wizard! Anyways, I am just curious if anyone has any input to why this might happen.
The Computer runs the POST, then starts loading Windows, right after the screen blanks to load the welcome screen, it reboots! And it will do that in an endless loop. It was fine until I installed the 3rd Party drivers or even the ATI Drivers. Any ideas? Maybe Sony Hardware only likes Sony Specific Drivers? Or maybe its Windows Media Center, (btw with the newest Omega Drivers, my Media Center no longer works!) I don't know! I do have the latest Omega Drivers, and my computer does boot fine now. I unchecked the "Enable Write Combining" option in the Advanced Video Config, and if I leave it check, I get reboots. Any Opinion would be awesome!! Thanks!

Glad you've made it and all worked out the way you like it.
--------
TuRfYMaN,
so everything seems to be okay when you don't use the option "Enable Write Combining" am i correct on this ?
what about the 'Hardware Acceleration',
Where is the position of the slider now, None or Full ?
anyway, you may want to get a BSOD instead of a reboot in case of your system failure comes about, so that you can have an error code and the stop error messages that can be used for further investigation...
open up the System Properties (Start ->Run ->type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter), click on Advanced tab, at the Startup and Recovery click Settings, at the System failure options clear the "Automatically restart" check box, then click OK 2 times.

the same thing happened to me. there are one reason, it has to do with the drivers. You installed the drivers in not a good way, so what you have to is start windows as safe mode, use system restore, or unnistalled the driver of omega or other driver you think has bother your pc. after that restart and everything will be ok. but i think that after this the driver that has cause this, omega or other that caused, you wouldn't be able to install it again because the same problem will happen, only you do the same thing as is did.

oh, i see again, media center 2005 suxks, i takes 2 lonk to boot!, i recomend you estay with windows xp pro, maybe that's the problem, wip your hard drive, and install media center 2005 again with the recovery cd or dvd. but in my opinion later the same thing can happen so i recomend you to get windows xp pro or windoes xp media center 2005 of microsoft and not windows xp pro or 2005 of recovery or sony, your friend edonkey and emule can help you. jeje
