Help!
I've got Intel 537EP modem (or at least that's the driver that works on Windows 2000). I can't install it on WinXP x64 (I'm trying with WinXP version of the driver, of course). I tried to modify *.inf files (there are 2 of them in the folder) following instructions found here and on Microsoft's site, but I didn't manage to do it right. Then I tried to turn off the undecorated models check, and for the first time, Windows recognized the drivers, but as the progress bar came to the end, I got a message saying that the drivers were not installed and that they were not made for that platform. That modem is my only access to the internet, help!

Might be true...
Though, from my expirience, you know when you have Windows that something is wrong! Only version that never gave me any headache was 2000 (I tried different flavours, all were fine). As for Linux, I only had SuSE 8.2, and I must say that I liked the installation very much. It was my first contact with Linux, and I had absolutely no problem.
I managed to make it accept the driver. morrowsta2 made a small omission in his post, it should be:
old:
[Manufacturer]
%mycompany% = MyCompanyModels
[MyCompanyModels]
%MyDev% = mydevInstall,mydevHwid
new:
[Manufacturer]
%mycompany% = MyCompanyModels,NTamd64
[MyCompanyModels.NTamd64]
%MyDev% = mydevInstallamd64,mydevHwid
The only diifference from his instructions is that mydevInstallamd64 stands instead of mydevInstall in the last line.
Now I have another problem: This device cannot start. (Code 10) The modem is installed properly, and works well (I'm using it right now.) In 2k, it uses COM3, while x64 displays only COM1. I tried adding a COM port, but it was listed as COM14, and there were no resources available! I need to do the activation, please help!

Thinking of going to 64 soon. Do any of ya'll* know if this download can be slipstreamed to an install disk? I'm thinking of trying to slipstream it with my xpsp2 disk for a cleaner install on the new hardware. I'm not sure if I would trust Plextools Giga-Rec for an install disk either. The xp + sp2 s streamed cd was just about full. Thanks *Around here it's a conjunction for you + all.

I wan't to be able to run it in 64 bit mode and want to run windows.
