USB 2 Issues

My system detects my USB2 ports as USB1.1… on my previous OS install they worked fine, but after that went belly-up i reinstalled windows on a seperate disk, updated to SP2.

but i get the hi-speed device on low speed usb port warning in windows…

any help?

What kind of motherboard is it? On most it should work straight away by the SP2 drivers. Though perhaps the best environment would be a WinXP with SP2 slipstreamed. (nLite, an excellent slipstreaming and installation tweaking utility.) And if the USB drivers from the motherboard chipset manufacturer doesn't help, try uninstalling the USB controllers from the device manager before running the driver installation.

I know you might not have changed the bios, but might be worth checking, I know I can choose USB 2.0 or 1.1 for my nForce board in the bios.
