Problem with my printers

I have Windows XP SP1 and I'm trying to install my printer (Epson Stylus C40SX).
But the windows xp don't see the printer
Try-ed to install my old printer (HP Deskjet 600), but again the same problem.
Now returned from format (Full format) and though it will help, but nothing
I iven returned BIOS default, and nothing helped
What can i do to install the freaking thing ?

Did you get any error msgs when installing the drivers/connecting the printers?

-----------
make sure the Print Spooler service is enabled and started.
Next, open Device Manager, D-click Ports,
R-click ECP Printer Port and select Properties,
at Port Settings tab, check Enable lagacy Plug and Play detection.
then reinstall the driver, and see if this helps.

Don't worry overly much about whether a specific KB article exists for your version of Windows.
Standard practice is to grab whatever's available and apply the principles.

If the printer use USB connection, Have you install the driver 'before' connecting the printer?

if you have not, try unistalling all drivers you have installed 'after' the printer connection, and go to the Device Manager and see if any error or incomplete installed (red or yellow marked) whichs relating to printer, uninstall it also.
Then remove/disconnect the printer and REBOOT your PC,
after reboot, install the driver 1st, and see if it'll asks you to connect the printer.
