I have downloaded both and installed both on my system in a tripple boot along with windows xp home. They both run extremely fast for regular windows applications. I couldnt believe how fast i compiled a map im building with unreal ed for ut2003. the only problem is there are no 64bit radeon drivers. This means you have no choice but to use the generic microsoft radeon drivers which are really slow....I ran 3dmark 2001 just to see how slow the microsoft drivers were.....I have an athlon 64 3200 and a 9800np flashed to pro bios(runs at pro core/mem speeds) my average default score is normally around 19,500 but without driver support i got a wopping 15,000. From what i have read, ATI does not produce drivers for operating systems that have not gone gold...therefore we will not see any 64 bit drivers untill the final release of windows xp 64. It sure would be cool if someone who was really good at editing graphics card drivers would make a 64 bit driver for those of us who have these operating systems......Hint, Hint, wink, wink
I also installed it and it is runing quite nicely. I also miss the driver support from ATI. The only thing I am a bit dissapointed about is that this build 1069 is almost 5 months old. It is a shame they haven't done anything in all this time. No wonder Windows is developing so slow.
I heard Catalyst 4.1's work in 64 bit. Some guy over at Futuremark did it and they work fine. I need Creative Audigy 2 drivers. I won't install it until then...
the cat 4.1 do not work.....I tried installing them normal, i tried installig them in winxp compatibility mode and i tried udating the drivers via the device manager. Nothing worked.
