i start alcohol up everything works apart from when i click the COPY button.

i get a black screen then all my 4 drives lights flicker and the bios screen normal bootup starts happning. :/

wonder what the cause is its kinda pissing me off. :?

It looks like you must deactivate the "automatic restart" option that can be found here

hmm ok i tryed that and this time clicking on copy button in alcohol this blue screen of death came up with the following info...

DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

and the file that gave me that error was

ITERAID.SYS

i tryed uninstalling my raid and reinstalling but no good :/
i wonder what has happened :/

worked fine all this time to just crap out i dont think its a hardware ishue more like a SYSTEM BORKED lol

its only this alcohol giveing me this raid ishue.

i dont get it becuse whats hooked up to the onboard raid is DVDROM and 20GIG HDD.
both work perfectly in windows :/

even recintly alcohol worked dunno what has happened hehe.

looks like a fresh format is in order me thinks.

I've looked at the Alcohol support forum and it seems some other have reported issues with Alc and Promise raid drivers.

You might also want to e-mail their support with a copy of the system
report generated with Alcohol. A walk though can be found here.

If your going to try some of the fixes in the first thread I'd definately recommend ghosting or atleast backing up your system first . Hope some of this helps G'luck.

thx for the help unfortunatly i fresh format has fixed the problem lol and i didnt manage to save the system report or system dump :/ if this happens again i will forward the info to alc support. thanklyou for the help though much apreshiated even though i dont no what the cause was that made alcohol do this i fixed it so its all k now

Don't forget to have deactivated the "automatically restart" option. It will save you from a lot of trouble

yeah i did that now i know every BSOD i get well not everyone but easy to find out

just stopped by the Alcohol site as links above, i saw their supports offered minidump analyzes, they have their known based for any compatibility and bugs issues, it must be easy for them to detail what's caused. that's a good services imo.
