??? Unable to delete a file...

Hello,

I just downloaded a file from the net.

Anyway its now downloaded, i double clicked it, a DOS window opened then closed again.

I try to delete it and get message "Cannot delete file.zip it is being used by another person or program, close any programs that might be using the file and try again"

I have restarted PC still get same error !

I have booted to safe mode, still wont delete !!

Scanned it with Norton 2003 and it dont find any virus ??

Any ideas lads ?

Cheers

look in the windows Task manager ,by processes u can find the name of that program and stop the service, if this service stopped u can delete
the file.
Or look in the registry in the "startup" section these is present 2 times and delete it from loading, in the next session.

Try this:

Start a DOS box or command prompt.

Hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager.

Kill the explore task

You should be left with a blank screen and the command prompt.

Delete file using command prompt.
