Hey all. I bought a HP ze5568cl notebook a few days ago and it can't seem to run my 3d games (BF1942, CnC: Generals, and Simcity 4) correctly. Each time the game is started, the game goes to full screen, but suddenly minimizes to the taskbar. If I click on the game on the taskbar, the game maximizes to a black screen, then minimizes. When I click on the program to maximize it again, the whole process starts over of maximizing and minimizing. However, it successfully runs the games every 4 restarts of the computer or so. Funky!

System Specs:
PIV 2.66Ghz
512MB RAM, 64MB Shared video
ATI RADEON 345M, newest Omega drivers
WinXP, SP1
DX9.0b
80GB HD

sounds like a spyware app I once had. Run spybot and see what happens.

try checking for anything else that you also had it gets activated while your're running the games in Full Screen. i'd recommend you to look for any B/G programs, windows screen saver, any scheduler sets for program auto updates. then, deactivate / remove or turn it off since windows will try to bring those programs to the front and your full screen game will get minimized because it cannot run in a window.
