red hat 9 boot loader

No need for anything fancy, just keep hitting f8 really fast after selecting Windows. That is, if you mean windows for the safe mode. There are other ways to do it if that doesn't work, including loading the windows boot loader then putting grub on top of it, then using the windows boot loader to go to safe mode, or alternately passing the right arguements to the OS (which I don't know off the top of my head but I think I know where to get).
