Need To Log Onto Administator
My friend (girl) got grounded from the computer and wants to play CS with me. The CS is in the main user as well as admin but she can only see admin in safe mode and it has no pass. She can only log onto the main account which is passworded or the guest account which doesn't have counter-strike when she starts up normally. Is there a way she can make it so she can log onto administrator but not in safe mode?

No. Make a new account with administrator privledges while in safe mode and log in as that. If you want to, go back and delete the account while administrator in safe mode once you're done.

Well acctually you could make a bootable floppy with NTFS dos and then read the administrator password right off the disk. I'm too lazy to write out the exact steps for doing it, maybe someone else knows what I'm talking about and could write out some simple instrucions.

Admin account = no pass, but you can't log on in normal mode in XP onto administrator (supposedly for security purposes...)

you can try to reset the password.
tell her to log on as usual(the main account)
open Run.. and type " compmgmt.msc " and press enter.
double click to open following....System Tools -->Local Users and Groups -->Users,
R-click on Administrator and select "Set Password" enter a new one ...
log off and log back in, at the welcome screen.. press <ctrl + alt + del> twice, an Admin log on dialog should shows up...
fwd the below.. to her so she'll know...
--------------------------------
Resetting this password might cause irreversible loss of information for this user account. For security reasons. Windows protects certain information by making it impossible to access if the user's password is reset. This data loss will occur the next time user logs off. You should use this command only if a user has forgotten his/her password and does not have a password reset disk. If this user has created a password reset disk, then he/she should use that disk to set the password.
--------------------------------
Data loss from resetting a password
To keep protected information secure, once a user's password is reset, some types of information are no longer accessible, including the following:
E-mail encrypted with the user's public key.
Internet passwords saved on, or remembered by, the computer.
Files that the user has encrypted.
To avoid such data loss, do not reset a user's password. Every local user should make a password reset disk and store it in a safe place. Then, if the user forgets his or her password, the password can be reset using the password reset disk with no loss of data.
Note- If the user already knows the password, he or she can change the password by going to User Accounts in Control Panel.
