directx.cpl is a debug version again?

well, I noticed this in the dxdiag/ files tab again. DX9.0b installed.

I remember this on a alpha version of dx9 before dx9 was available. Does this hurt performance? Is there a way to get rig of it? Does the Downloadable version of dx9.0b have this in it? I had that version installed, then I reinstalled windows and just let the windows update install dx9.0b this time. Could you guys check to see if you have this message down in the "notes" section on the DirectX tab of dxdiag? Thanks

"The file directx.cpl is a debug version, which will run slower than the retail version." Slower? That sux!

Let me try to explain this one last time:
"directx.cpl" is NOT part of the normal DX files, it is a DEVELOPERS file used to debug Dx, but at the same time is a handy Control Panel tool that can enable/disable/help resolve Dx problems.
In fact, if you re-install Dx, it will delete this file. The file is included in my Omega Drivers, and that one is the latest version I could find, but since it is a developer file, it will be FOREVER a debug version.
This file doesn't affect speed or performance in ANY way, is just a tool (go to the windows CP and you will see it).

Well I knew that!

But I don't see anything about the file relating to dx9.0b anywhere in the forum- must have gotten lost in the mix.
