I saw very little info on it thru the web. As best as I can tell Adaware recognizes it as malware and that it gets put on very stealth like without you knowing it. I would recommend removing it with Adaware or Spybot Search and Destroy and remove it as I cannot see it being of any good!

Thats what i figured, but spybot and adaware cannot find it either It's Trojan Hunter that finds it as a possible! But cannot delete with TH either. Mystified

Thanks

Thanks guys,

I managed to find the conflict folder with the ugo20.exe inside but could only delete from safe mode. But on running TH again, i still get the c:\windows\downloaded program files\ugo20.exe appearing

But i cannot find any trace of it on my pc......odd huh

thanks again guys

Here we go again. I thought i deleted the darn thing, but oh no. I was checking my downloaded files folder from windows explorer and saw nothing. I then typed the ugo20.exe full address in the addy bar and up comes a dialogue box saying

"You are downloading the ugo20.exe from windows" I save it to desktop and the darn thing is there sitting pretty and impossible to get rid of.

I have sent a copy to Gavin of TDS fame and another to Mischel of Trojan Hunter. Just hope they can find a way to get rid of the pesky pest.

Again thanks

Well managed to get rid of the pesky pest. I was given a download link for a littly proggy called DrDelete. And that did the trick.

Now the system comes up clean....thanks for the input guys
