WinXP Updates
Having trouble with retrieving the updates. After MS scans my machine I get this message that there are no updates for me at this time.
I updated the OS with service pack 1a on my old machine with no problem. Since then I through together another machine, and using the same key that I generated and had been using successfully for several months, now the key doesn't seem to work.
I went to the update catalog and picked up the updates, but I'd like to know if anyone else out there is having difficulty.
TIA

Rather than indirectly asking for help with a copy of Windows that you got through... er... less than legitimate ways, you'd probably be better off checking out a site like www.iexbeta.com where they have a thread in one of the forums that will answer your question.
FYI, you should probably know that we try to discourage discussion re: warez here. Thanks.

WinXP Updates
You guys got me into this. I first read the info about a bluelist generator on this site. The info about the generator appeared around the time the beta XPSP1 was in such high demand. Now I can understand that everybody has lost their backbone because the RIAA and the BSA are flexing there muscles, but that doesn't give you the right to attack me. Your implication that I am invovled in the trading of Warez info is unsubstantiated.

Contrary to your misconception, I didn't get you into this. LOL
I also didn't suggest you were trading warez, just that discussions of warez-related material is discouraged here now. How things were before is irrelevant. You were provided with a suggestion as to where to get the information you sought. Now I would expect you to show a little gratitude and abide by my request. Okay?

He's right. You guys did start all this illegal stuff. You can't say that was the past. This site started with references to keycodes and keygens and links to sites that offer warez. Now you have members that got started with this crap because of DriverHeaven and this site is OBLIGATED to complete what it started.

shrink
lol. when has there EVER been an obligation associated with keycodes & keygens? they are ALWAYS use at your own risk/peril.
the thing that is really silly is he asked & you helped, & is possible somedody else might.. now they are demanding help. tends to discourage what they are asking for.

excuse me?
this site is OBLIGATED to do what I want it to do, unless all of a sudden you are paying the bills and are in fact the site owner?, and unless im mistaken that isnt the case.
We never did illegal stuff, except source some SP1 beta packs which were in fact early betas of a FREE upgrade to an operating system......... we never hosted or provided links to warez. check your facts.
This site has changed its stance drastically in the last 6 months and we are now concentrating primarily on DRIVER support and high quality editorials with support from company staff members. there are many other sites that now deal with leaks and SP packs and keygens, so I suggest you go look elsewhere as Shrink has stated.
you can also take your attitude with you..
this thread is closed and if I see any more of this crap ---- accounts will be removed. you guys need to learn some manners.
