exclamation After closing tabs on IE then crash the whole IE

I just formated my computer last week and half ago. I finaly upgrade to IE 7 again. I'm still having sane issue where IE tabs after opening couple tabs then try closing it the whole IE crashes to desktop on me. I don't know whats causing it. I have everthing up to date with all the patches. I don't know if this IE Tab bug or not? Or anyone else getting same issue that I been having. Oh well it doesn't bug me that much I used opera more then ever. I only used IE for windows updating.

System Specs

I remember reading something about it either in the news section or some other, non technical site.
But not what. IIRC there was a hotfix by MS about it, but I could be wrong.
So, eh, I guess this is was a useless post.
Good luck.

PS. Try Opera.

IE in Vista was at one time used to crash very often for me as well, but never managed to find a solution, not even managed to know what's causing all the crashes. it's just fixed itself i've not seen the crashes again.
and not long ago i did a clean install of Vista and SP1 RC was installed, have never seen the IE misbehave yet.

never heard of this issue

i use ie7 on my xp & ff2 on my 2k... have you tried disabling the quicktab feature (that thing with the thumbnails)

or the prompt when closing a window with 2 or more tabs

do you use addons? for years, on any IE, i always 'disable 3rd party browser extensions'

its not a known or widely reported bug. have you taken the usual steps of clearing all the cookies/caches and deinstalling and reinstalling flash player etc?

I had an issue a while ago with IE7 crashing but it was related to my adobe suite and acrobat, it had installed the PDF save web page option and my machine/IE7 didn't like it.
