Sad An installation keeps starting when i right klick on a file or a folder! HELP!

Okey, so heres the problem:

A couple of months ago i downloaded a program called spare backup that i used to backup some files. But when i didnt have use for backup anymore i tryed to delete the program..
It didnt work.. so i tryed going to the home page of spare backup and found a uninstall program.. but it didnt uninstall the program it just stopped it from running. and when i turned on windows There it was again. So i started deleting the folder that spare backup was installed in. and after a lot of trouble i got all the files away from my computer...

But now, after having finaly managed to delete the program i now have another problem:

Each time i right click on a file or folder an installation starts trying to install spare backup.
And since i have deleted everything containing spare backup files windows cant find the installation file... and so i tryed downloading spare backup from the internet again, but now i had to pay for the program.. ....

So can somebody help!?!?!?

i got windows XP btw.....

That sounds like a virus. URL for the program?

try Windows Installer CleanUp Utility ( http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290301 ) to see if there is a reference to the program in question, and if it's there remove it.

when you say delete it do you mean uninstalling it or just removing it from Program Files folder?

I suggest downloading CCleaner and run it through its paces. Especially the ISSUES option.

www.ccleaner.com

PC World Magazine did a full review of Spare Backup and gave it a thumbs down. It IS a valid backup program...not a virus. BUT, there are too many negative issues to make it a viable option for backing up files.
