patching game on harddrive that isnt C:

So as the title says I have recently installed F.E.A.R. and went to patch it and when the patch opens it is looking for the installshield on the C: drive. My hard drive is labelled J: and hence the issue. Anyone know a way around this problem?

Is there a browse button there?
Or a line where you can at least type the correct address?

I have tried several patches whether they be the 1.0 to 1.7, or the 1.0 to 1.8. I have tried the english language patch and the all language patch. The original FEAR game. FEAR First Encounter Assault Recon.

IF you are running any version of the software or Windows other than US, then my guess is that you have registry problems since there is a chance for that. No solution from me atm but i will see into it if i can.

In most cases where I've run into this, there's an option to use a Custom installation of the patch. If so, you need to choose that and then you'll be able to navigate to the drive where the game's installed.

I downloaded the full patch, but forgot that I do not have the game installed...the patch refuses to run without the game installed so I can't help.
