Promblem - eror on install with directX version

Hy all ;]

I have problem with my directX, i try to install EA game godfather, and got mesage, that i need directX 9.0c, i dowlOAded leates version, but nothing.
I have windows XP SP2
I fuond on some forums that this problem with all EA game install, and that i need to downgrade to 8.1 then upgrade to 9.0c ']
But that not helped me

Well, let me take a stab at this:

On the Godfather install disk, did you select to install the DirectX that's on the disk? If not, try that.

1- i run setup, 2-enter serial, 3- agree licence (i cant see any license tex,yust press agree, but with the same cd on another computer text is fully visible 4 - get mesage: Installiation cannot continue bbecose this game requires DirectX 9.0c or higher to be installed on your system. Yuo can download latest version : www,micros.......
