Boot Partition Rearranging

My dad has been messing around with windows and figure out how to create his backup windows partition. However, he also created another one that he deleted. On boot however, the command prompt shows the options for 3 operating systems to be selected.
1.How can I completely remove the partition that is not really installed anymore from this menu and
2. Can I rearrange the order they are selectable? Currently, if I power on the computer and walk away the backup partition is 1st so it is the one that automatically boots after 25 seconds instead of the main partition.
This is also just a minor inconvenience to see if i can fix since its not worth partition software.

open the Disk Management MMC window (Start/Run... type diskmgmt.msc and Enter),
take a pic of the window and post. also provide us the data of your boot.ini file
the file is usually hidden and located in the root of system partition, you can open it with your text editor.

also you can try using "Check All Boot Paths" that can be found in the boot.ini tab panel of the System Configuration Utility,
To open the utility go to Start/Run... and enter msconfig.
