Help -- having problem with safe mode

Hi guys,

I am having a weird problem with my laptop. I changed my language settings a few days ago then changed it back. Then I wanted to remove the french input from the language bar, but the french input appears again when I restarted the laptop. I tried to use system restore, and it just freezes while loading in safe mode (after AGP440.sys).

So can anyone help me out with this issue?

Cheers

A couple of things to try here:

First, if you have USB devices installed, disconnect them and try again.

If your keyboard and/or mouse are USB, make sure the BIOS is set to use the BIOS to detect them.

Second, update your video card drivers and then try Safemode again.

I've read, if I recall correctly, that it's not really the agp440 file that's hanging things up, it's the next file down...and that one isn't showing as it hasn't started loading yet.

You bet.

Something to help keep your Registry in good order...and get rid of unnecessary files on your computer: Download Crap Cleaner. I use it everyday.

Google for: ccleaner
