Wierd Reboots

Ok running windows xp on the system listed below as wifes computer. The problem i am having is the system reboots randomly when playing games. I though it was the network driver as they where all online games. I have check the temp on the cpu and it never goes above 59C which is 11 C below the max of the CPU. Why might this be happening? I have tried reaseeting the video card and everything. The funny part is games like COD2 that are 1 player never have the issue it mainly happens with online games...Like COD2 multiplayer.

It is a Yuko gig network card on the p5p800 motherboard and i updated the driver last week but the issue still happens.

what is the PSU on the wife's computer (the one this is happening on right?). Random reboots could possibly be a PSU issue...

try disabling automatic restart on system failure, and when you get a BSOD write down the STOP code and error messages.
also check error reports in Event Viewer. post copies of STOP code, error messages and error reports.

I have disabled reboots. The blue screen that comes up is blank nothing on it. As for the event viewer... there is nothing in it with a red X.

The power supply is an Antec truepower 2.0 480W

Drakon will become famous soon enough

It could be a PSU or Memory problem. I would run Memtest and Prime '95's Torture Test to see if any of the tests fail.

Could be vid card overheating too. . .check for free fan rotation and dirty/improperly seated heatsink.

I replaced the X800 with another i had spare and same issue. I also ran mem test for 5 hours with no errrors... I also ran 3dmark05 5 times in a row with no issues. At this point i am wondering if it is the network chip on the motherboard as my wife only sees it with online games....

That's interesting. . .is there an IRQ conflict? Maybe you should test with a new NIC, they are only about $10 these days.
