I can't believe that you are asking for help for a "leaked" BETA build of Windows Vista. We don't support warez at DH.
Besides that, it is a beta and will not work with as much hardware as XP.

Yeah the build was leaked, but even the guys at neowin have answered some questions related to hardware. Anyway to make a long story short, nforce mobo's still have problems with Vista. The availability of drivers that work correctly with on-board LAN of nforce mobo is very limited. Your best bet is to install a PCI network card and hope that it works (98% of the time it does).
And before anyone asks...
Posts asking where to get this build from will not be accepted or tolerated!!

Nope, you didn't posted something wrong. The warning I gave at the end of my post was to avoid having someone else get into this thread to ask for information on where to download the build.

The only reason I posted the way I did is because this build is not even available to MSDN Suscribers.
That said, you would not even be able to get official support from Microsoft for the build. Hence the "warez" comment.

I strongly suggest you don't even try to install this Vista beta's until Vista gets to SP 2 or SP 3, until then, XP is a bit better solution. Remember the XP and its worm blaster and stuff.. I don't trust microsoft until they make atleast SP 2 from now on. Just think how many Vista has security holes and errors right now.

Hum... well I got the latest build of Vista off of MSDN and it's working pretty well. At least this time I was able to get my SBLive 5.1 card working and my promise ata controller.
Also, SAV 10 installed without making the system go into an endless BSOD. UM, IE7 is better in this build compared to Beta 1.
Who cares about the security holes that may or may not be in Vista right now? It is a Beta and Microsoft is stressing that you should not run a Beta OS as your primary OS in a production environment. Besides Vista is built on top of Server 2003 which "I believe" is more secure than XP.
My last point. The "leaked" version of 5231 is older than the build that was released on MSDN the other day.
My version is legit. For those that doubt: Legit Vista Screen

Windows Vista Forum can be closed LOL, the most of them are illegal users.
