Repair install on separate partition
I had a lot of problems with one of my vista installations and now it's to the point where I can't get past the loading screen or into safe mode. I used diskpart to shrink the partition and installed vista onto the new one. I know i can use the upgrade feature to repair my original vista installation but everytime I try it, it only reinstalls onto the partition that I used to boot windows with (my second one). anyway i can change it to where i can point the vista installer to my old drive and still use the upgrade setting?
btw does anyone know why sfc won't work lol
