password

can somebody please tell me y every month or so my wifes vista os makes wants her to make a new password?
it is really irritating as i also have to change it in whs to. & we only have so many passwords that are easy to remember.

Right-click My Computer icon and select 'manage' on the console that opens up find Local User & Groups > open Users folder find the user accounts in the list right-click > properties make sure the box "Password never expires" is checked.

That should sort it, if it's being caused by a windows issue.

You should be able to change that setting in your password policy settings.

smy wifes comp is using home premium 64 i know tyrons suggestion doesnt apply(but ty

) & i couldnt find the 'local...' folder under manage craig. gives me clue to search in tho thx
