My primary drive was about 80% full, and heavily fragmented when this was done. I'm currently clearing out the drive of data, will retry when it's done, I'm curious if it will be enough to make any difference to the score.

Kingston 2 GB PC5300 (666) @ 6600 (825) , low timing though, these rams are really meant for OC'ing, but does a fine job anyway.
Timings: 5-7-7-20
Weird though you are getting lower score on your ram, you are running faster speeds and on better latency then me and with the same 965p chipset, maybe my DS4 rev 3.3 is better at mem speeds then yours what? S3? DS3?

i got 4.1 but i don't use vista anymore, i just got so pissed at it's incredible memory usage (500mb + when it's idle you know) and when you've got 1gb it's not enough.
i'm gonna stick with XP until vista is completely sorted, mebbe another year or 2 yet

5.7 for me... but I think something may be fishy as the processor is my weak link....which is a 3.0Ghz E6850 Core 2 Duo, no overclocking. everything else is 5.9

i think anything above 5 indicates your system processor is good enough.

I overclocked mine to 3.2 which yielded the same 5.7
Maybe the extra .1ghz is the difference.

Strange Things can happen :D
Well i have :
CPU: Intel E6850
Motherboard: Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi/AP
RAM: 2x1gb 4-4-4-12 Cellshock
VGA: XFX GeForce 8800GTS 320mb
HDD: WD Raptor 36Gb for primary and 2 x 300Gb WD Caviars for storage
I got all 5.9 except cpu which was 5.6 when i installed vista.
I overclocked cpu to 3.6Ghz and ran test again. I got 5.8 on CPU and same on the rest.
The strange thing is that i lowered CPU to stock speed and ran test again.. I now get 5.8 CPU at stock speed... WTF? i ran the test 4-5 times, shut down pc , restarted etc.. same results.
Here are some pics:
Stock speed after installing windows for 1st time:

Overclocked to 3.6Ghz:

After returning to stock speed:

Can someone give me a reasonable explanation?
PS. I underclocked cpu to 2ghz and tried again.. stil 5.8 it must have stuck there for good lol

the same thing happen to everyone who i know and who did that.
the test tool is still not perfect (it's just a bit better than the BETA's time) at this time, and it's not smart enough to adjust your CPU score downward.
or it's smart enough to know you are playing with the CPU score using the same CPU but you just overclocked it more. but, fact is, i really don't know, lol.

Strange one for me to be honest.
First install on my previous pc was 4.1
Second install on my new pc (listed toward the left) was 5.4.Since then my windows vista install fuXed up,and was forced to reinstall.(windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade).I need to install xp before vista will accept my cd key.
After a second install i am getting a score of 5.3.. After a full defrag of the main HDD my score has upped to 5.4.

5.9's across the board with this setup.
