Error loading .dll's after nVidia driver upgrade on Vista machine

Egads. Just purchased a shiny Dell XPS 410 with pre-installed Vista 32-bit and nVidia GeForce 7900GS card. Upgraded the nVidia driver to latest version yesterday. Now getting three (3) errors at start-up when trying to load non-existent drivers (nvsvc.dll, nvmctray.dll, nvcpl.dll). I'm not a computer guru, but my guess is that I need to edit the registry to remove references to these .dll's, but I have never attempted something like this and I NEED HELP. Thanks in advance for hand-holding me through this clean-up.
