IE -Vista - flash - WTF

So i just got ultimate, and wanted to fire up my xbox360 along side media player.....

All streams well, except movie clips for MS and the power graph shows low signals. i have a netgear WGT624 V3 , yet frm that they say i need a A & G router for best signal..... any comments on that?

And to top it all off , i wanted to try Vongo..... yet it says i need flash......for IE.....yet foir some reason it doenst work in Ie according to media player...allthough i can watch flash in the browser, that isnt good enough. Plus, when you download the Vongo software, it halts on instal, saying you need the flash player..... Seems as though the flash player, the newest one isnt Vista ready...... even though Vongo says it is vista ready...

Anyone experience the same thing?

Do you have the very latest Flash installed?

Plus, you may want to put whatever site is needed in the TRUSTED ZONE.

Hopefully a quick patch will help get ya fixed up.

Have you changed any of the default IE settings? Maybe setting them back to default might help.

Are you running as Admin with full install rights and software permissions?

Is it possible during the Vista install to specify that you want to do a dual boot with XP? That might be a bit more convenient during the transition to Vista...

That I should have done,..... yet the reason why i didnt is that I was on x64 which made an upgrade not possible...... so fresh install.... Plus my version was The business edition that came with my Action pack..so i really didnt knwo what version i was to receive.

I may instal X64 on my other hardrive If I cant get this part going. This was the main reason i upgraded to ultimate for the media center.....

Hello, I am from the Starz development team that built Vongo. We have Windows Vista Ultimate running on a number of machines and have Flash installed on them as well. I am not sure if you tried this but I would suggest you uninstalling the Flash Player and reinstalling it.

You are correct that the Vongo installer will halt if you do not have Flash installed.

Also once you have Vongo installed, it will run in the Media Center container under Vista and on the Xbox 360. So you can download movies from the Vongo UI on your Xbox 360 and play them through the Vongo or Media Center UI on the Xbox 360.

Thanks Ryc....

I did discover why it didnt work. The solution was to go to Adobe site and download there Flash removal program, run it...then reinstal flash. Just uninstaling it thru the control panel didnt work. It must have been a botched up instal the first time around.

Your service is awesome though...Ive been watching movies everynite. Had the family over watching a few flicks the other night with tons of popcorn going around. I use a wireless setup to my 360.... Got about 15 movies in my library now and i cant believe how little space it takes up and has the quality of HDTV

I love it.. I recommend Vongo to anyone.....

PS = if you guys use testimonials, feel free to grab the one above....

PSS- Ryc one thing that i thought would be really cool.... When i invited my family over the other nite to watch movies, they asked me what i got..... Going to my library and writng the titltes down was ok, but wouldnt it be cool to have a printout of sorts that can be done of the HD current library with brief descriptions to each movie..Just a suggestion brah...

System Specs

I actually had a problem with Flash in both IE7 and Media Center. I have UAP disabled, so that wasn't the problem. Problem was that using the .exe installer only worked with Firefox for some reason. I had to uninstall Flash, then install it from within IE7 to get it to work with Media Center and IE7, then used the .exe installer to get it working with Firefox again.

the installer is only for flash :| theres 2 installers, and adobe has stopped providing an installer exe for the IE version....

you need to get it via the site for ie.
