Mr cairo will become famous soon enough

Installing the Vista 32bit version .... couple of quick questions

if i install the 32 bit version does that mean that my 32 bit apps that work in Xp should work ok in Vista

and does anyone know where i can get the Nvidia Mobo driver set for the 32 bit install and possibly drivers for the Nvidia 7800 XfX

Sorry for asking but searching is just taking me round in circles

Thanks for any help

Most of them work yes, I only found a few pro apps gave some minor issues. I would avoid at all costs the 64 bit version it is a bit of a disaster right now. My recommendations are: dont wipe XP. do a dual boot on another partition or hard drive. Then you can play with vista and get experience with it while having the ultra reliable XP to go back to.

You wont need the chipset drivers in most cases as Vista has hugely updated driver support (as you would like to hope as its on a DVD!). You can get drivers for your video card for vista on www.nvidia.com. Note: a default set to get you up and running will install via vista DVD during initial installation, but upgrade them.....

on www.nvidia.com go to download/drivers then
"graphics drivers/geforce and TNT2/Windows Vista X86 (X64 is 64 bit version so you dont want those). Then hit "GO", and you will see 88.61 for beta 2 dated may 23. They arent actually a bad beta set for a beta os.
