HIS Radeon HD 3650 Driver Problem.

Hello, I have been previously browsing this forum trying to find a solution to my problem when as of yet, no luck

Ok so here is my problem...

About 2 weeks ago I attempt to turn on my computer, while the tower is starting up fine the display is not showing any picture, I try to fix this by fiddling with the cables, and nothing works, until I take the monitor cord out from the back adapter of my Radeon and plug it into the standard motherboard plug.

This works..

Now I have a running monitor but am greeted with a message about my radeon drivers and how they are apparantly outdated and need new ones.

So I think to myself all I need to do is go to the ATI site and get new drivers right ? Wrong.. I have done this and it does not work, I have no idea why, I have tried uninstalling the catalyst and drivers compeletely to no prevail, I have tried installing everything from scratch off the disc but when I try this it tells me that there is no hardware detectable ??

I am just about fed up with this god dang graphics card and are on the verge of buying a new one, what should I do ? I am currently out of ideas as too what to do with this problem.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, Thankyou in advance .. GunWRX

There's a couple of things you can try besides updating the driver. Firstly - if you turn on your computer when the monitor is plugged into the video card and there's no post from the bios, this may be indicative of a larger problem. Is this the case?

Re: HIS Radeon HD 3650 Driver Problem.

Welcome to DH

We could use a bit more information about your computer.

Did you build it, or is it something pre-built like a Dell, HP, etc? If it's pre-built, tell us the maker and model number.

If it's home built, we need the maker and exact model of:

Powersupply
Motherboard
Video Card (actually we need this if it's pre-built as well)
number of hard drives
number of CD/DVD drives

From your description, it SOUNDS like the Videocard is not working, and you are now using the onboard graphics on your motherboard. If your video card isn't working it could be a number of things. Have you made ANY changes to the computer? Did you open it up and clean out the dust? Did you MOVE it from one place to another?

All of that can be important information in helping track down the problem.

Ok, I brought my computer from a place where I live called CarBil, it's not a pre built computer, they build it for you.

I will get onto getting the Makers and models of the Power, Mother, Vid, I also have only 1 Hdd and 1 Dvd drive.

And yes I have opened the case and such.

Thanks
